You can close an assessment from the task detail page using the "Close Assessment" button located at the top right corner.
Closing an assessment marks the end of the candidate's submission period.
What Happens When You Close
- The candidate can no longer push any changes to their Git repository
- If enabled in your Company Settings, the candidate will receive a notification informing them that the assessment has been closed
- If the notification setting is disabled, no message will be sent
Important: Candidates cannot see any code review feedback until the assessment is closed. This gives your team adequate time to complete their reviews before sharing feedback.
You can close an assessment at any time — regardless of whether the candidate has submitted their solution. Common scenarios include closing after a deadline passes or following a hiring decision.
Closing the assessment reveals your team's public feedback to the candidate and concludes the assessment workflow.
