Tasks in Codebie can be updated at any time by working with their Git repositories. The process is simple:
- Clone the task repository to your local machine
- Make changes to the instructions, files, or code
- Push your changes back to the repository
That's it — your task is now updated.
Important: Updates only affect future candidates. If a candidate has already accepted an invitation, their assessment repository was created from the task at the time of acceptance. They will not receive the updated content.
Changing Task Name or URL Identifier
You can also update the task's name and URL-friendly identifier through the Settings tab on the task detail page.
However, be aware that changing the URL identifier will:
- Invalidate existing Git URLs
- Change the public task link (if applicable)
