Mentioning teammates
Mentioning teammates
Updated over a week ago

Collaboration is key when reviewing candidates — and mentions help your team stay in sync.

You can @mention teammates in two places:

  1. Assessment Notes — internal-only comments where you can tag colleagues to share thoughts or ask for input

  2. Code Reviews — when leaving feedback on specific lines of code, you can also mention other reviewers

Just type @ followed by their name, and an autosuggestion menu will appear to help you quickly select the right person.

How mentions work in public reviews

If the code review is marked as public and visible to the candidate:

  • The mention will still appear

  • But the mentioned person’s real name is never revealed

  • Instead, their anonymous reviewer identity is shown (e.g. “Anonymous Superman”)

This ensures your internal discussion remains private, even in feedback that’s shared with the candidate.

Mentions make it easier to:

  • Bring the right people into the conversation

  • Ask a second opinion

  • Coordinate next steps

  • Keep all context in one place
