Collaboration is essential for reviewing candidates — mentions help your team stay coordinated.
You can @mention teammates in two locations:
- Assessment Notes — internal-only comments where you can tag colleagues to exchange ideas or request feedback
- Code Reviews — when providing feedback on specific code lines, you can mention other reviewers
Type @ followed by a name to trigger an autosuggestion menu for quick selection.
How Mentions Work in Public Reviews
When code reviews are marked public and visible to candidates:
- The mention remains visible
- The mentioned person's real name stays hidden
- Their anonymous reviewer identity is displayed instead (e.g., "Anonymous Superman")
This preserves your internal discussions as private, even when sharing feedback with candidates.
Benefits of Mentions
- Bring relevant team members into conversations
- Request second opinions on candidate approaches
- Coordinate next steps
- Keep all context in one place
